I know a few of you have been asking how exactly I qualify these as less known places. Well, my survey has been limited to my friends and fellow travel lovers. However, most people I asked didn’t know about these places. Hence these qualify to the list.

Le Moulin du Roc, France

Awesome view of the hotel

The view looks good? Nah I would say great :P. To be honest, I haven’t visited this place, but it is on my bucket list for sure. The place has soothing views. To top that, it has a spending Michelin star restaurant. The food would surely make any foodie drool. With all this, the place still doesn’t attract a lot of tourists and hence it made it to our less known places series.

So let us know if you would love to stay in this man-made marvel. You can get more details from the hotel by clicking here.

Marietas Islands, Mexico

When we think of islands we always remember the islands in the Philippines, Maldives, French Polynesia. However, have you heard of this beautiful unexplored gem called Marietas Islands?

The answer to my question would be no for most of you. That precisely qualified these islands to our less known places series.

If the view and the fact that this is an unexplored place for foreign tourists doesn’t excite you to visit, the Marietas islands were also designated amongst world heritage sites.

Lake Natron, Tanzania

Terrifying yet intriguing

Does that look like blood? Well, it does. However, this is just a mineral-rich soda lake in Tanzania. The place is called Lake Natron. This looks terrifying but it makes me even more curious to visit. This is not the only attraction in this part of Tanzania. There is a Volcano nearby and this is basically sitting below the volcano.

The place is a breeding ground for beautiful lesser flamingos. You can see over a few hundred thousand of them during the season. (October to April)

However, it is important to note that the water only can go out by evaporating and it makes the air rich with alkaline gases. So probably you may want to want to keep a check on that. The place is surely not for everyone. And it probably is one of the weirder places to be in our list of less known places. Let us know what you think of this red blaze in comments.

Tanah Lot, Bali Indonesia

Speaking about weirder places, This next place surely is a weird one for a lot of reasons. It is believed locally that when a couple visits the Tanah Lot temple, they split up. It is a curse on this temple. This place is a rock formation and a Hindu temple in Bali.

The allegedly cursed Tanah Lot, Bali

If you don’t believe in myths, this place is a must-visit in Bali. the photogenic background and colorful locality make this place a tranquil. This place is not in the default tour packages of Bali though. Hence lesser tourists visit the Tanah Lot. This is precisely the reason for me to add the wonderful tourist attraction in my list of less known places.

So these are the places for today. Let me know if you actually knew about any of these places. You can follow us on Facebook here.
